Why Our Serviced Offices Are the Perfect Choice for Your Business

While we love talking about the wonderful buildings we look after, we’re even more excited by the businesses who have made those buildings their home. It’s the people who make up the Square Feet community, and it’s helping these businesses that makes us proud of what we do here.
So, why do people choose Square Feet serviced offices? We spoke to some tenants to ask about their experiences and find out what people want from their workspaces.
Great Service is Key
Through our conversations, we found that the most important things to our clients are:
Someone responsive to deal with
A sense of community
Bright, well-maintained offices
Great facilities that are well-stocked
Who we spoke to:
Ryan Hudson of Ministry Creative who’s been a tenant for nearly five years, first at 24 Billing Road, then at Oxford House.
Hayley Redding of Hayley's Skin and Beauty Clinic has been at 24 Billing Rd since 2020.
Alistair Macquire of ES Landscape Planning, housed at Oxford House since January 2021.
Katie Brown of Tattoo Insure who moved to 24 Billing Rd in 2023.
We’re grateful to our tenants who shared their stories so we could look at what makes Square Feet serviced offices different. We asked a few questions and will share what we learnt with you.
How do you know when you need a serviced office space?
Unsurprisingly, each tenant had a different reason for searching out a new space.
Two were working from home before they came to Square Feet. Ryan had to move out of his office to accommodate a playroom, while Hayley decided her growing business needed its own clinic space for clients to visit.
Our other tenants came from offices elsewhere. Katie told us that changes in working practice meant the company's previous office was too big as the team embraced hybrid working; finding something smaller and more flexible became a priority. Alistair also came from an office elsewhere; his motivation for leaving was that the previous office and landlord no longer suited his needs.
Square Feet spaces, more than just offices
While everyone we spoke to mentioned the well-maintained buildings and welcoming offices, our tenants are also grateful for the flexibility of the offices - with the option to add desks and change layouts.
Outside their own offices, the option of using meeting rooms and breakout rooms for quiet, personal space is useful, and - in all locations - the kitchens provide a community hub.
Most of all, our tenants appreciate having a space to call their own and set up their own way, whether that’s because they need the flexibility to accommodate two people some days and six on others, or because - as a clinic - the room needs to be clean and welcoming as well as calming and comfortable.
So, why choose Square Feet?
When you’ve decided you need an office, there are plenty of places available offering spaces - how do you choose the right space for you? We talked about this in our last blog post - Increased productivity and Reduced Costs: the Benefits of Serviced Offices. We asked our tenants why they had chosen Square Feet.
Ryan says he’d previously had problems with letting agents and liked that Square Feet had a human faces in Tom and the team - “If I’ve got an issue, I’ve got someone I can go to.” Hayley also mentioned the benefit of having someone available to look after things and added that she chose her office for the convenient location, personal recommendation, and because “It felt right”.
Alistair said he chose his space because of the bright, airy offices, broadband, parking spaces, convenient location, and friendly people. That does all sound pretty good, doesn’t it.
The Square Feet Experience
We’ve talked about the office spaces and the buildings, but we think there’s more to Square Feet than that, so we asked how our tenants would summarise their experience with us. We got some amazing feedback!
Katie told us, “The location is perfect, and I love that the offices and buildings are well-maintained and well-stocked.” The variety of drinks in the kitchen, the sanitary products in the toilets, the cleanliness of buildings and the availability of cleaning products all make the experience at Square Feet stand out.
For Ryan, the Square Feet difference is more personal: “Tom is Square Feet.” He says, “It’s nice to have a face and a contact. Knowing that if I’ve got an issue, I’ll get a response - even outside the scope of the office.” Alistair agreed, and added that the people attracted to the Square Feet offices have similar values making for a supportive community: “They’re all very nice people” - and most of them in Oxford House also have very nice dogs!
We think Hayley summed it up best…
“It’s very simple, not at all stressful. Issues are always dealt with. I’m at Square Feet for my business; I want my business to grow, I don’t want to think about those other things.”
The space you rent is yours, so you can set it up to work for you. The building will be looked after, kept clean and well-stocked, and everyone who visits you there will love it as much as you do.
We love our spaces and want you to be happy in them. Our tenants have told us how much they value the ongoing support, the community and the facilities we provide; if these things are important to you too, you are welcome to check out our available studios.
Thanks again to Katie, Alistair, Hayley and Ryan.
